I have a query about the results
As the live results on elections night are entered by real life human beings, it is possible that there may be the odd mistake here and there. As such, we may tweak the results throughout the night.
Once the election has been concluded, all of the results will be double-checked and verified.
We'd appreciate it if you could hold off messaging with any results-based questions before all 650 seats have been declared, as the thing you're messaging about may well be fixed anyway.
I accidentally entered my team/username wrong. Can you change it for me?
Exciting news - you can now update this yourself from the My Account page.
Why have I received an email asking me to reset my username?
Fantasy Election has a positive names only policy, which means you can't use names which are derogatory towards others.
It's absolutely 100% fine to get political with your user/team names, but in a supportive way. We're not here to drag other people down.
There are also some words which you are not allowed to use in your names for reasons of common decency.
Every now and again, our system will flag a name which might be a bit too close to the line, and if that's the case you'll receive a polite email asking you to change it.
Why has my team or username changed?
We'll give you a couple of goes to get your name right, but if you've still not been able to change it to something within the rules a more appropriate name will be chosen for you.
Unfortunately you are not able to change more appropriate names once they have been set. You are going to have to be Fluffy Bunnies XI (or similar) for the foreseeable future.
Why can't I create a private league?
Please make sure you've confirmed your email address before creating a private league.
How many private leagues can I make?
You can make a maximum of three private leagues per person. Any more than that, and you might have to ask a friend to make one for you.
I can't find my confirmation email. Can you help?
The quickest way of sorting this out is by requesting a new confirmation email from this page.
If you still haven't been able to sort the issue after trying that, please fill in the form on our contact page, and we'll do our best to help you out as quickly as possible.
If you're using the form on the contact page, please just type 'confirm my email' into the message field - don't worry about typing out a lengthy message.
How do I know who's going to do well at the election, and who isn't?
If you need a bit of a helping hand picking your team, there are a few resources you might find useful:
- Election Polling has seat-by-seat predictions, as well as handy lists of target seats for all the major parties
- Electoral Calculus has a very useful predictions section of their website, as well as a predictions calculator you can use to test out different results
If you've found a different site you can recommend for the list, please do let us know.
I've seen someone's team name, and I think it's inappropriate. What can I do?
While we do keep an eye out for team or usernames which cross the line, there are sometimes occasions when something unacceptable might slip through the net.
If you've seen something on the site which you think is inappropriate, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we'll review it as soon as we can.
I'm standing for election, but you don't have colours/a logo for my party. Can I send you one?
Yes - please do.
We're very happy to add to/update any parties/politicians featured on the site.
Please send details to admin@fantasyelection.co.uk
The sitting MP in my constituency is listed as being in opposition. Can that be fixed?
We're always very grateful for your feedback, but in cases like this the listing on the site is probably correct.
Because the constituency boundaries have changed since 2019, we're using the Rallings and Thrasher notional results for the last election, rather than the actual results.
There are some MPs who, according to the notional results, wouldn't have won their seat under the new boundaries.
As such, while they are officially the sitting MP, they may not be listed as such under the data we're using.
